Bare-fisted Word Fightin’ — Write Club Style

Image

I stumbled across DL Hammons’ Write Club yesterday and the (usually latent) competitive side of me sat up and roared.

If you haven’t heard about it, here’s the gist: Over the course of twelve weeks anonymous 500 word writing samples will go head-to-head for the registered voting public in weekly bouts. Winners will advance to the play-offs until a single sample emerges as the champion. (Cue Queen’s “We Are the Champions”.)

The rules and details are at DL’s blog, Cruising Altitude 2.0, but if you want to participate as either a competitor or a judge, you’ll need to sign up using the Linky on his site.

I’m flexing my writerly muscles so bring it, biotches, and I’ll see you in the ring for some bare-fisted word fightin’.
