2017: The Year of the Sequels!
Watch for A Castle to Keep, the sequel to The Shadow & The Sun. Scheduled to release in early winter, this one offers more adventure, more magic, more romance, and more of Halina and Gethen kicking evil’s ass!
Ooh, see that header? That means the cover for A Castle to Keep is humming along quite nicely while, editorially, power couple Halina and Gethen are being put through the wringer by yours truly. (Which is why they look ready to spit nails and kill someone with them.) This is the sequel to The Shadow & The Sun and though I’d hoped to release it in late July, that’s looking more like late August.
Thanks to the amazing artistic skills of L.J. Stock, the Icarus Series has a whole new look. Killshot was the first to undergo the visionary metamorphosis. This amazing cover is raw, emotional, and gritty, just like the adventures contained within the story’s pages.
Welcome back, readers and writers! It’s Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday time and I’m still bringing you snippets from The Shadow & The Sun. The book launched last week and has performed far better than I could have hoped on Amazon.
Only a fool crosses a god, but Ellaeva and Lyram will do anything to get what they want.

Chosen as a five-year-old orphan to be the Left Hand of Death, Ellaeva has nothing to call her own—nothing except a desire to avenge her murdered parents.
You’ve probably noticed by now that I’m launching a book this Friday. (The Shadow & The Sun. 4/22. $0.99. Buy! Buy! Buy! Yada-yada-yada…)
But that’s not what I’m blogging about. Today’s subject is the abject terror that I feel going into this launch.
Welcome back, readers and writers! It’s Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday time and there’s less than one week until launch day for The Shadow & The Sun. Eep!
So here’s the WeWriWa/Snippet Sunday business section that you’ve come to know and love.
Welcome back to the Easter edition of Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday posts. There are no bunnies in The Shadow & The Sun, nor is it very spring-y. Hmmm, in fact there’s a blizzard burying Gethen’s citadel throughout the entire story.
Hi Friends! It’s Sunday, which means it’s time for more Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday posts. And more Halina and Gethen from The Shadow & The Sun.
But before we get to the writing, we need to cover some business:

It’s been a wee bit of a while since I posted about a new tool I’m using for writing. But, thanks to Mini Me, I’ve discovered the ease and brilliance of mind mapping for creating a plot.
Exhibit A: My Mind on Paper (Yes, it really is that chaotic in there.) — SPOILER ALERT!
